Terms and Conditions

The following general conditions apply to all passengers booking with the Alpina Transfers company.

1. The payment is carried out at the time of the reservation. Alpina Transfers will then issue a written confirmation with all the details of the reservation and will send it by e-mail (or by fax on request). The payments are not refundable, except if Alpina Transfers has to,for reasons independent of its will, cancel the reservation or accepts to cancel it.

2. The customer commits himself to accept the general conditions of Alpina Transfers, even if the booking is made by telephone.

3.When a person books for two people or more, he engages himself in the name of the other people and Alpina Transfers considers that all the members of the group also accept the present general conditions.

4. The confirmation by e-mail (or fax) holds is your receipt and must imperatively be presented at the driver or the representative of Alpina Transfers.

5. The addresses shown on the confirmation are those of your meeting point and for the transfer. If you wish to modify them or change an unspecified detail, the request will have to be carried out by telephone or e-mail at least 4 days before the transfer.

6.If a booking has been made for a private individual and the plane or train is delayed, the vehicle made available by Alpina Transfers will remain on standby for 60 minutes at no additional cost. For delays beyond this limit, an additional cost of 50 Chf.- may be charged at the start of each extra hour of waiting. This additional cost is payable to the driver or Alpina Transfers representative before departure.

7.Bookings should be cancelled by phone or by email. We should be advised of any cancellations at the very latest 24 hours before the date of the journey. Beyond this limit, Alpina Transfers will make no refund.

8.All luggage should be clearly labelled with the owner’s name and address.

9.All type of luggage accompanying a customer will be accepted, including skis or snowboards in travel cases, golf club bags …

10.Alpina Transfers drivers reserve the right to refuse transport in their vehicles to any person visibly under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs and whose behaviour could be considered a threat to the safety of the other passengers and the driver.

11.Consumption of alcoholic beverages and smoking are strictly prohibited on board all vehicles.

12.Alpina Transfers and their carriers will do their utmost to ensure that vehicles arrive punctually at the agreed meeting points and to deliver their customers to their destination at the appointed time. However, Alpina Transfers and their carriers decline all responsibility in the event of delays incurred by events beyond their control such as :

Road accidents incurring slow downs

Road accidents bringing all traffic to a halt
Extreme weather conditions
Law enforcement
Vandalism and terrorism
Unpredictable traffic jams
Strikes or demonstrations blocking the roads
Problems induced by other passengers
Any other incident which could influence the security of other passengers

13. Although handled with the greatest care, passenger luggage is transported at the owners’ risk and Alpina Transfers or the carrier can under no circumstances be held responsible for any loss or damage incurred. We recommend that passengers check their travel insurance prior to departure.

14. If the carrier is unable to deliver customers to their appointed destination, Alpina Transfers will undertake to organise alternative transport. Refunds made by Alpina Transfers to cover the cost of this alternative transport cannot exceed the cost of a taxi to the customers’destination.

15.Alpina Transfers can onlybe held responsible for predictable and reasonable incidents arising from an error in the contract.
